The Supersuckers are the self-proclaimed Greatest Rock-n-Roll Band in the World and their fans would agree. A good crowd was in attendance at The Legendary Horseshoe Tavern on November 2 to see and hear the band crank out the tunes and support their latest album Get The Hell. With devil horns in the air, the crowd soaked up the volume and tunes. Local metal hero Danko Jones joined the band for a couple of tunes at the end of the set.
The guitar solo featured a bit of Ace Frehley and the solo from Alive along with some of the legendary James Gang tune "Funk 49". Classic riffs. It was cool to see the three goldtop Les Paul's across the front line and they sounded equally cool.
A curious question about Google ads that play before YouTube clips - when you go to watch a video called "Pretty Fucked Up" by a band called Supersuckers, what is the rationale for showing an ad for a computer program to help little kids learn to read? I guess it's just one of the mysteries of life.

"Get The Hell" from the new album kicked things off. It's quite a powerhouse opening tune.
