Southern California 80s revivalists Hunny were the last band to hit the Velvet Underground Stage on August 10. I enjoyed their huge power chords with great 80s dance beats and powerful vocals. They were a definite switch from the punky bands that preceded them on the bill. Their singer has quite the stage presence, swagger and infectious dance moves.
Their Cars cover of "Just What I Needed" fit perfectly, although when I saw "cars" on the setlist, I was kind of hoping for Gary Numan. "Cry for Me" features that beat I love so much so I have to admit being a sucker for that tune.
