Lavender Wild Festival: A compendium of posts - Concert Photos

This past Sunday, June 4 was a crazy traffic day in Toronto. Two of the four main highways that circle the city were closed for the Ride for Brain Health. It's a great cause and it's a fun ride (it's pretty awesome to ride a bike on the highway) but it snarls traffic pretty brutally.

So it took ages for me to get to Echo Beach for Lavender Wild Festival, and I missed the first act, but I'm happy I made it. 

Lavender Wild is a one-day music and art festival celebrating queerness. Girl In Red, Hayley Kiyoko, The Aces and G Flip were some of the headliners on a day packed with positive vibes. And it was a beautiful day for it! I hope that Lavender Wild will become an annual fixture on the Toronto music festival scene.

G Flip at Lavender Wild Festival - Concert Photos

G Flip was one of the artists I was most looking forward to experiencing at Lavender Wild festival. This show marked G Flip's first time in Canada, ever.

I loved G Flip's set. It had great energy, cool tunes, and a positive vibe. She has such a great rock and roll voice! Her set was packed with catchy tunes that you can experience on your favourite music service or, even better, if you see her live.

Some highlights of the set were "Worst Person Alive", "Lover", a cheeky cover of The Zutons "Valerie", "Be Your Man" and "Gay 4 Me".
