Riverfest Elora 2022: Afterparty: Pony at The Elora Brewing Company - Concert Photos

Pony rock. They consistently deliver pure power pop joy. Their songs ooze so many of my favourite artists and vibes of the 80s and 90s as influences, along with their own unique take, and I love it.

Pony played an afterparty at The Elora Brewing Company for Riverfest Elora 2022. The fact that I made it out to an afterparty, after travelling and attending the first day of the festival, is a testament to how much I like this band.

I've covered Pony many times before including at The Horseshoe, at The Horseshoe again, at The Horseshoe once more, at Lee's Palace, and at The Silver Dollar Room.

Pony at The Horseshoe Tavern - Concert Photos

I've seen local alternative rock/power pop band Pony a bunch and I think they're awesome. This time they were first up on The Horseshoe Tavern stage with Bleached and The Paranoyds. You can follow those links to check out those photos.

Pony play cool, fun, guitar-driven, catchy, bouncy and relatable tunes. This time saw Sam Bielanski taking command of the stage without guitar for many songs. We heard some new tunes that sounded great. Can't wait to add them to my music library.

Pony at The Legendary Horseshoe Tavern - Concert Photos

Some bands that I love, I have never experienced live. Some bands that I love, I get to see many times and experience their progress and growth over the years. Pony falls into the latter group. This was the fourth time I’ve experienced a live Pony show and they never fail to impress with their hook-filled power pop tunes, and infectious energy and stage presence.

They told us that they just finished recording their first full-length and I can't wait to hear their light and bouncy power pop tunes emanating from all my speakers. The new songs sound great and I can’t wait to spend more time with them.

On this particular night, I caught Pony smack dab in the middle of The Effens, who opened up the night, and Charly Bliss, who were headlining. Click through to see those photos.

CMW 2018: Pony at The Horseshoe Tavern - Concert Photos

Pony impressed me with their tunes the first time I saw them back at the dearly missed Silver Dollar Room at CMW 2016 and last year at Lee's Palace, also for CMW. This time at Canadian Music Week for the launch of Audiotree North, they did it again.

I love the attitude and their power chord-laden garage pop tunes, including a great new tune called "Monster" from a new EP. I feel like I’ve been looking forward to seeing Pony since last time I saw them and I'll feel that way until I see them again.
