Diversity is strength; inclusion is the only path.

Riverfest Elora has so much diversity in the artists and the audience. It’s wonderful. As you go from stage to stage, to artists that cross so many genres, there are always people singing along and so happy to see the artist that they know and love. Equal in number have to be the people who are out there to discover new artists and open their minds to new music. It’s a beautiful thing that wouldn’t be so notable if we saw it everywhere.

Riverfest Elora creates an inclusive environment. Artists, attendees and everyone involved works to create an environment of peace, harmony and acceptance. It's our only path to a future world that we'll all want to live in, and it has to start being the guiding force in our lives.

This year, my fourth Riverfest Elora, I experienced and captured images of thirty-three musical artists over the three-day festival. I hope you'll spend some time checking out the links below, checking out photos of your favourite artists, and checking out photos and music by some artists you've never heard of. Perhaps you'll find a new favourite.

Day 1: Friday

Day 2: Saturday

Day 3: Sunday

And if that wasn't enough for you, here are links to my coverage of Riverfest Elora from 2018, 2017 and 2016.

Thanks, as always, to the organizers, volunteers, vendors, artists and everyone else involved in making Riverfest Elora such a fun, must-attend and special experience each year.

Can't wait for 2020's Riverfest Elora.

I’ve seen A Tribe Called Red a couple of times before. You can catch my photos from their performance at Hillside in 2018 and at Field Trip in 2017 by following the links.

They always put on a fantastic visual and auditory spectacle with dancers both in traditional and modern dress, a gigantic video screen and upbeat music with pounding bass that keeps everyone dancing. This Riverfest Elora performance delivered all that.

All of my Riverfest Elora 2019 posts can be accessed from one master post here. I hope you'll take a look and a listen.

A Tribe Called Red headlined the main stage of Hillside 2018 for day three of the festival. It certainly was a cool way to end an incredible weekend of diverse and wonderful music. Their visually and aurally entertaining set got the crowd moving and the level of "Happy Hillside" joy high.

I caught the group for the first time back at Field Trip 2017 and you can find a few snaps in this post.

Field Trip 2017: Day 1 - Concert Photos

Another Field Trip has come to an end and what an amazing festival it was. These are my photos from Day 1. Click here to check out my pics from Day 2.

Broken Social Scene headlined the first day of this year's Field Trip with an awesome set featuring so many of my favourites, "Cause=Time", "7/4 Shoreline", "Ibi Dreams Of Pavement (A Better Day)", "Superconnected" and set closer "KC Accidental". Of course, the stage was littered with special guests including Feist, Emily Haines, Torquil Campbell, Amy Millan, and James Shaw. Always a heartwarming, uplifting and joyful experience!

I love the music of Cloud Nothings so I loved hearing a bit of their set including "I'm Not Part of Me".

Portugal. The Man started off with some of "For Whom the Bell Tolls" and continued with a heavier live sound than I would have expected. They successfully rode the line of danceable and rock and delivered a very impressive set.

Tei Shi brought an energetic set of danceable fun tunes.

Matt Mays is a definite favourite with his hard rocking power pop tunes. I love his music, especially hits like "Indio" and "Take It On Faith".

Royal Canoe delivered their unique and intricate soundscapes.

Joseph played high energy, countrified and slide guitar infused tunes highlighting the vocal melodic and harmonious talents of the three sisters/singers from Portland Oregon.

Bernice played soothing and ethereal tunes.

Overcoats had great harmonies and strong melodies.

Yoke Lore have a big sound and tunes with big catchy choruses perfect for shouting along.

Harrison dealt out his cool vibes and Walrus from Halifax got things going with powerful but melodic songs.
