I had to wait until the final day of Riverfest Elora to see the band again. They started off with one of my favourites, “Rascal King”. It was so good to hear their brand of ska after so many years.
I loved it and it was such a positive vibe to end off this wonderful edition of this amazing festival.
Unfortunately, Mother Nature didn’t want to let the band have their full set time. The organizers had to call it off just after 10 o'clock due to incoming weather. They broke the news to us and then launched into their closing track of “The Impression that I Get”. They didn’t get to even finish that, since they had to cut off the mains before the song was over. The band continued on and played out the remainder of the tune with the audience just hearing stage sound. You have to keep people safe, so shutting down was what they had to do with the incoming electrical storm.
All of my Riverfest Elora 2019 posts can be accessed from one master post here. I hope you'll take a look and a listen.
