New Taylor Knox EP Lines

I caught Taylor Knox at Lee's Palace with Zeus and The Golden Dogs last fall. I came away impressed with his brand of power pop, especially the tune "My Backyard", and I vowed to be on the lookout for more of his music.

Well the wait for a new release has ended. Taylor has just released a new EP called Lines. It includes some familiar favourites like "My Backyard" and "Fire" along with some new tunes. He and his rhythm section have put some live clips up. Give them a gander below.

He's playing The Horseshoe on April 23 and many more dates, so get out and see him live.

Taylor Knox at Lee's Palace

Taylor Knox has been playing drums for many Toronto bands including show-mates Zeus and The Golden Dogs. Now he's fronting a power trio under his own name. He warmed up the audience at Lee's Palace with his infectious power pop. I'm looking forward to diving deeper into Knox' music and seeing him live many more times.

He opened with the power pop gem "My Backyard". He and the band ran through a set of promising tunes. They are a tight-sounding power trio playing great tunes. Super refreshing. They even covered The Smashing Pumpkins' "1979". Their set closed out with "Fire".

New music from Zeus

Canadian classic rockers Zeus have recently released a new album called Classic Zeus. They're on tour and playing at Toronto's Lee's Palace on Saturday night. Give a listen to some of their latest tunes, and a personal favourite of mine from a previous album, and head out to the show.
