New Peace album In Love

I posted the great song "Follow Baby" back in May of last year. I liked the tune so much, it ranked number 46 on my top songs of last year.

Now Peace have put out a full-length album called In Love. What's the first video? You guessed it, the amazing "Follow Baby".

This band's debut has been getting mixed reviews. There's a lot of flack for wearing their influences on their sleeves. There are a lot of kudos for doing an awesome job at it. I think they rock and sound great and that's what matters. We all have our influences.

My favourite songs: Awesome and cool songs of 2012: My best of list: Top 60 songs: #60-41

It's been a great year for indie-alternative music. Maybe it's because I've been putting more emphasis on seeking out great music for the blog, or maybe it's just intergalactic forces. Whatever it is, I'll take it.

Just to avoid consistency of any kind, I've abandoned last year's idea of doing 2 year best of posts, like doing "The Best of 2011-2012".

Here's post number one featuring songs 60-41 of my favourite 60 songs released in 2012.

Peace

I really should keep better track of where I hear about these bands. Sometimes it's from other blogs, sometimes it's from TV, sometimes it's from other band web sites, sometimes it's from magazine or other web sites, sometimes it's from "similar bands" on last.fm or allmusic, sometimes it's a rabbit hole of surfing around youtube.

At some point in my exploration, I happened upon Birmingham four-piece Peace. Here's their video for "Follow Baby" and a track called "Bblood". Cool sounding band.
