Small Black at The Great Hall - Concert Photos

Stepping on the wayback machine, we have some photos from when Small Black appeared at The Great Hall in Toronto back in 2016. I enjoyed the Brooklyn band's chill melodic waves of danceable sound that washed over the crowd.

And we're done! Made it! Last day of 12 days of work in a row. Certainly not the hardest anyone's ever had to work, but it definitely took me away from my music discovery and post-writing activities. Now watch out for a new feature I'll call "old news" where I post some of the cool things that are coming out soon that you'll already know about since they're old news now.

New video from Small Black for Breathless

Small Black released their album Limits of Desire earlier this year. I posted a couple of songs early in the summer. They've just released a video for "Breathless".

I miss summer already.

Cool tune by Small Black

I read a lot of music blogs. I check out a lot of music. I'd like to check out more, but there are those other parts of life that keep interfering. I sometimes just check out a band on a whim, or because some blogger's description of them peaks my interest, or because I've seen the name around a lot.

I think it was the latter that made me check out Small Black. It's kind of mellow, but I like the sounds I'm hearing from the tune "No Stranger" and some of the other tunes on their album Limits of Desire that I've checked out so far.

Here's the video for "No Stranger". Hope you like it, too. Sounds like a good song for a relaxing patio, a sunset and a cocktail.
