Riverfest Elora 2022: A compendium of posts - Concert Photos

The fine folks at Riverfest Elora mentioned that it's been 1,097 days since Riverfest 2019. How awesome was that festival? It was in the before-times, when we thought we had a lot to worry about, but we didn't even have a clue what was coming. *sigh*

I was so happy to have Riverfest Elora back in full form for 2022! The lineup was fantastic and it was so good to be back in Elora, back in Bissell Park, getting to hear music coming from these beloved stages and getting to hang out with friends I haven't seen since the last Riverfest.

While many things were the same, there were some changes this year. We got upgraded lights for the Koop and Grassland Stages. Awesome! And there was one significant absence in the food vendors this year; there was no mac n' cheese and pulled pork. I loved it and was looking forward to this special treat I only get at Riverfest. Maybe next year.

Riverfest Elora 2022: The Blue Stones - Concert Photos

The Blue Stones rock hard. They're a duo but create a massive sound. I'd classify it as high-energy blues rock, and it sounds good! They graced the main stage at this year's Riverfest Elora.

The Blue Stones at The Mod Club - Concert Photos

Windsor, Ontario based blues-rock band/duo The Blue Stones took to The Mod Club stage to warm things up for Reignwolf. They are powerful, accomplished musicians who dole out heaping helpings of gritty blues-rock riffs, tunes with big choruses, and heavy and intricate yet tight beats.

Their tunes have blues, funk, soul and heavy rock foundations and they had lots of fans singing along. They were a really solid choice to warm up the crowd for Reignwolf and they showed everyone the meaning of "leaving it all on stage" with their impassioned performance.
