Goodbye Honolulu at The Baby G - Concert Photos

Goodbye Honolulu are a rock 'n' roll band from Toronto. I caught their recent gig at The Baby G where they played us a bunch of new songs from a new release that they're working on, plus some of their older favourites.

Goodbye Honolulu's show was fun, energetic and kept the crowd was dancing and bouncing all night. I enjoy the band more and more every time I see them, I'm looking forward to future shows and releases, and I recommend you check them out if you're not already familiar with them.

I've seen Goodbye Honolulu a couple of times. Most recently at The Phoenix Concert Theatre and the first time at The Horseshoe. Yup, those links will take you to my photos from those shows.

Goodbye Honolulu at The Phoenix Concert Theatre - Concert Photos

The night that Swmrs headlined The Phoenix Concert Theatre was a big night of music. Four bands took to the stage and no doubt the crowd left the Phoenix exhausted after multiple circle pits and walls of death. Local band Goodbye Honolulu were kind of a late addition to the bill. I'd seen them a few years back and liked their show, so I was looking forward to seeing them again. I love their varied tunes, the way they switch up vocals and instruments, and their highly entertaining drummer.

Goodbye Honolulu at The Horseshoe Tavern - Concert Pictures

Goodbye Honolulu hit the Horseshoe Tavern stage second on the night of June 30, warming things up for Limblifter's celebration of the twentieth anniversary of their debut album.

The Toronto band played ​fuzzy garage rock with an immensely cool 90s vibe, great attitude in the vocals and cool guitar sounds, often mixing one clean guitar with one really grimy. Their music sounds like a mix of all good guitar rock / garage rock from the 60s to the 90s and into the 2000s with great riffs and cool hooks. Their tunes are really solid and are growing on me the more I listen, "Where You Wanna Go" was a live highlight.
