Riverfest Elora 2023: A compendium of posts - Concert Photos

Riverfest Elora is my favourite summer music festival. It combines artists I love with new artists that I've never heard of that find a permanent spot in my music library. The vibe of the festival is chill and inviting, friendly and fun.

The 2023 edition of the festival is also their lucky 13th festival, and my sixth. And there wasn't a drop of rain during the festival!

Thanks to the Riverfest Elora team for curating and orchestrating an amazing weekend of music, fun, food and friends. And, of course, for granting me access to capture the images of the festival performers.

Riverfest Elora 2023: Charlotte Cardin on the Main Stage - Concert Photos

Charlotte Cardin is an incredible songwriter, performer and musician. This Riverfest Elora main stage performance was my third time seeing and capturing a Charlotte Cardin performance. 

Her set featured fantastic vocals, beautiful songs and a gripping performance, all for the enjoyment of her enthusiastic fans. Cardin has a new album coming out and mentioned a new song she wrote with Patrick Watson. I know I'm not alone in looking forward to its release.

Venus Fest 2019: Charlotte Cardin - Concert Photos

Charlotte Cardin had the honour of headlining the third and final night of this year's Venus Fest. This was my second time seeing Charlotte and her band perform and it was a must-see set for me personally. My photos of Charlotte's performance at Field Trip in 2018 are right here if you want to take a look.

I absolutely love Charlotte Cardin's music and charming stage presence. She writes and performs simply gorgeous love songs. She possesses a beautiful voice that resonates through my very soul, lifting me up and filling me with good feelings that I don’t have too often lately.

We got to hear many favourites and a brand new unreleased song called "Passive Aggressive".

Field Trip 2018: A Compendium of Posts - Concert Photos

Field Trip is always a highlight of the summer festival season. This 2018 edition was extra special. There were so many of my favourite acts that I was either seeing for the first time or was seeing put on some amazing performances. This was my first time seeing Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Damian 'Jr. Gong' Marley, Bahamas, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, Haerts, Allan Rayman and more. I experienced great performances from bands I'd already seen before including Metric, Japandroids, Partner, Dizzy and Ellevator.

There were also a number of new discoveries for me; artists I wasn't familiar with going in that I walked away a fan of. These included Middle Kids, Allie X, Liza Anne, Jacob Banks, Pierre Kwenders and Charlotte Cardin. This is absolutely one of my favourite things about music festivals; discovering great new artists.

Field Trip 2018: Day 1: Charlotte Cardin on the Fort York Stage - Concert Photos

Montreal's Charlotte Cardin and her band was one of the new discovery highlights of Field Trip 2018 for me. I was thoroughly drawn in and captivated by her beautiful and timeless voice, her engaging presence, and the classic easy-going nature of the music.
