Riverfest Elora 2019: Day 1: Kandle - Concert Photos

Kandle and her band played a magnetic set at Riverfest Elora 2019 on the Koop Tent stage. The songs are timeless, soulful and gripping, and Kandle’s performance and presence match that aesthetic.

This was my third time seeing Kandle and her band live. Check out my photos from their performance at The Horseshoe during CMW 2018 and at The Drake Underground back in 2014.

CMW 2018: Kandle at The Horseshoe Tavern - Concert Photos

Kandle and her band did a great job of warming up an already-hot crowd for the coming big surprise guests at the Sleepless Records Showcase at Canadian Music Week, July Talk.

I had seen Kandle before, when she played The Drake Underground, so I knew I was going to enjoy her set. On the cusp of releasing new music, and with Peter Dreimanis joining her on stage for a tune, I found Kandle and the band more powerful than I remember. I loved the songs and her soulfully beautiful voice.

Kandle at The Drake Underground

Kandle and her band opened for Fast Romantics at The Drake Underground on November 29. From her aesthetic to the songs, there's timeless beauty at work here. Her country-tinged songs were a great fit for the venue and warmed us all up for the rest of the night. Kandle's début album In Flames is available from her Bandcamp and iTunes.
