Oregon's Typhoon play the kind of music I always appreciate more live because it gets my undivided attention and patience. The music is deep, with amazing musicianship and ever-shifting dynamics. Intricate, multi-part, sprawling, ambitious, powerful, and harmonic are some of the words I'd use to describe Typhoon's music.

I realized on that night at Lee's Palace just how much I love watching a band's most impassioned fans interacting with the music at a live show. It shows how art takes over, possesses the body and the soul, and provides so much unbridled joy. Dance like no one is watching, indeed.
