However, not many are taking it as far back to the stripped-down roots of the blues and then pushing it as far outwards as Reignwolf.
Reignwolf is Saskatoon, Saskatchewan's Jordan Cook. He performs solo and he performs with a masterfully accomplished rhythm section, as he did on this past Thursday night at The Mod Club in Toronto.
The band put on a massive-sounding set. Performance highlights included Jordan spending some quality time in the crowd and on the bar, and the entire band moving down onto the floor of The Mod Club during the encore. From a musical standpoint, I find it hard to put into words the energy, passion and musicianship that the band displayed.
