Sam Coffey and The Iron Lungs at The Phoenix Concert Theatre - Concert Photos

I was really looking forward to seeing Sam Coffey and The Iron Lungs play again. I'd caught their set at Riverfest Elora and regretted the previous period of my life where I didn't know the band or their tunes. I caught the middle night of three at The Phoenix Concert Theatre where their set was in the middle between Frank Turner and The Sleeping Souls and Bad Cop/Bad Cop.

Between Bad Cop/Bad Cop and Sam's sets we heard some tunes from Frightened Rabbit. It still makes me sad whenever I hear Scott’s voice. The joy took over again as Sam and the band took to the stage.

Sam Coffey and The Iron Lungs are a massive-sounding rock / power pop band. They've got great rock grooves and riffs with powerful vocals, gang choruses, unique signature stage moves and glimmer of glam. I like how they revisit classic riffs while delivering a show like no other.
