Twen are an indie rock band based in Nashville. They played a show at Toronto's Baby G sandwiched between headliners Naked Giants and local openers The Effens. Please click through and check out my photos of both of those bands here and here.

Twen's sound is either a million influences working together at once, or a completely genreless band. Take your pick. I found Twen to be funky and groovy with big melodies and lots of dynamics. They were even a little silly, which is pretty endearing to Canadians, I think.

I'll definitely check out Twen again when they next flow through Toronto. In the meantime, join me in enjoying their recorded output and a live performance in what must have been a very hot room:
