Yes, they may have brought some Vancouver rain to Field Trip, but they brought amazing tunes and incredible energy too, so they can be forgiven. Highlights of their set included "Near To The Wild Heart Of Life", "Fire's Highway", "Wet Hair" (speaking of wet hair, how come singer/guitarist Brian King's hair was wet from the moment he got on stage?), "North East South West", "Younger Us", "No Known Drink Or Drug", "Young Hearts Spark Fire", "The Nights of Wine and Roses", and "The House That Heaven Built". And, yeah, that's pretty much their entire set. I love this band!
They mentioned that this Field Trip show marked the last show of their tour before going off to record their next album. They proved that they were definitely in a mood to party. All I can do now is bask in the glow of this show and wait for their next album.
Enjoy some tunes and if you haven't seen Japandroids live, please add them to your list. I mean, you have a list of bands to see, right?
