Brooklyn/Syracuse singer/songwriter Kayleigh Goldsworthy opened for Frank Turner at The Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Toronto. My photos of Frank Turner and The Sleeping Souls are here.

Kayleigh is a charming performer who mixes her personal and accessible tunes with fun stories and cool covers. She included covers of Concrete Blonde's "Joey" and Teenage Fanclub's "The Concept". Switching from electric to acoustic gave the solo set an additional sense of variety.

I'd highly recommend you spend some time with Kayleigh's music and check out her live show the next time you have the opportunity.

Goodbye Honolulu at The Baby G - Concert Photos

Goodbye Honolulu are a rock 'n' roll band from Toronto. I caught their recent gig at The Baby G where they played us a bunch of new songs from a new release that they're working on, plus some of their older favourites.

Goodbye Honolulu's show was fun, energetic and kept the crowd was dancing and bouncing all night. I enjoy the band more and more every time I see them, I'm looking forward to future shows and releases, and I recommend you check them out if you're not already familiar with them.

I've seen Goodbye Honolulu a couple of times. Most recently at The Phoenix Concert Theatre and the first time at The Horseshoe. Yup, those links will take you to my photos from those shows.

Winona Forever at The Baby G - Concert Photos

Winona Forever are an indie pop band from “Canada”. I caught them at The Baby G and enjoyed their easy listening tunes featuring shifting tempos and cool guitar sounds. They're fantastic musicians playing intricate tunes that got some dancing going.

Luna Li at The Baby G - Concert Photos

Toronto's own Luna Li was first up on The Baby G's stage on a night headlined by Goodbye Honolulu and including Winona Forever. Please click those links to see my photos of those bands.

I first saw Luna Li at the Royal Mountain Records BBQ during NXNE and I loved her playing and music. Luna Li's songs feature gorgeous sounds and intricate, soothing melodies. For some songs, Li loops the guitar then layers in violin to form incredible soundscapes. For others, she unleashes amazing guitar pyro.
