NXNE 2018: Yungblud at Yonge-Dundas Square - Concert Photos
There's something infectious about the gritty, reggae-tinged rhythms mixed with snotty, pull-no-punches delivery and manic energy that Yungblud songs contain. Just try to stay still while listening to "I Love You, Will You Marry Me". You can't do it. And when seeing the band live, it's even worse. I can't count the photos that are just a little too off-focus or motion-blurred due to the manic movement of the artist, combined with my own grooving in the photo pit. That unique take on a tried-and-true, near-punk aesthetic continues across Yungblud's songs.
Yungblud's set at NXNE 2018 at Yonge-Dundas Square was a highlight of the festival for me, and I can't wait to see him when he returns to Toronto on October 21 for a show at Drake Underground.
