Montreal's Homeshake was the last performer to hit the stage at Royal Mountain Records Goodbye to Summer BBQ. He closed out the afternoon with lo-fi bedroom pop tunes that sent us off into the streets with a chill vibe.

Royal Mountain Records Goodbye to Summer BBQ: Fast Romantics - Concert Photos

Toronto-based indie rock band Fast Romantics are a great band to see live. They took a break from recording their new album to play for us at Royal Mountain Records Goodbye to Summer BBQ. We got to hear some older favourites and some songs from the forthcoming album.

The word “rousing” always comes to mind to describe their passionate and energizing songs. They've got huge power chord progressions, dynamic shifts that create drama, and elements I would describe as orchestral. Overall it's a great package.

Royal Mountain Records Goodbye to Summer BBQ: Anemone - Concert Photos

Montreal alternative psychedelic rock band Anemone performed at Royal Mountain Records Goodbye to Summer BBQ. They've got groovy tunes that definitely show that psychedelic element and feature long jams.

Royal Mountain Records Goodbye to Summer BBQ: Little Junior - Concert Photos

Toronto alternative indie power pop band Little Junior have become something of a favourite act here at one in ten words. This is the fifth time covering the band in our virtual pages, and we now spend more time at their shows singing along with the songs than we do taking photos.

Little Junior are always awesome, and this Royal Mountain Records Goodbye to Summer BBQ show was no different, except we had the added bonus of hearing some new tracks.

Royal Mountain Records Goodbye to Summer BBQ: Deanna Petcoff - Concert Photos

Toronto's indie alternative bedroom chamber pop singer songwriter Deanna Petcoff and her band were the next band up on stage at Royal Mountain Records Goodbye to Summer BBQ. Her bio says that her first band was Pins and Needles, and look here, I covered a CMW showcase including them back in 2016. That coverage is here.

They put on an impressive set including a cover of Carly Simon's "You're So Vain". Keep an eye out for a new album and a show at The Drake November 14. I hope to be there.
