Thursday, August 17 marked my third time seeing Palehound live. My photos from their first Canadian show at The Horseshoe are here and my photos from their second time at The 'Shoe are here.

This time up, I found them to have a more aggressive and powerful sound. This was probably mostly to do with their new bass player who delivers a solid yet heavy and gritty sound. When was the last time you heard someone applaud the bass sound check?

The Boston band hit up Lee's Palace on a tour stop with Outer Spaces and Waxahatchee. They were smack dab in the middle of the line-up and definitely brought things up a notch. Their latest album, A Place I'll Always Go, is out now. I definitely like this band more, and look forward to each performance more, every time I see them perform.

Check out a bunch of Palehound's excellent music and don't miss them next time they pass through your town.
