When I was looking for
Lowest of the Low videos to accompany my
post on Steve Stanley's departure from the band, I found this cool video of
Ron Hawkins, performing "Dead Man" from his 2009 album
10 Kinds of Lonely and talking a bit about song writing. I completely agree with his opinion that a song has to stand on its own when stripped down to acoustic guitar (or piano) and vocals, and that it should be able to resonate with people in that form. Ron's songs always do.
And once I found that video, I found another, and another and had enough for a five-by-five post.
