The Garrison celebrated ten years on the Toronto live music scene with nights filled with great local music. Komodo was the second band up on stage. I heard so much 80s in their sound that reminded me of my younger days. There was also modern touchpoints that I heard, like The Bravery and Eagulls. The dreamy, swirling guitar parts were cool.

Their show was presented as a wall of sound, with virtually no talking between songs. It seemed to keep audience engagement subdued, but that may have just been my take.

Take a listen a couple of tunes below, and check out my coverage of the other bands on this night's bill: Casper Skulls, Canyun and Catholic Wilt. And click here for the coverage of Sam Coffey and The Iron Lungs from the previous night's celebration.
