Pkew Pkew Pkew (Gunshots) at The Horseshoe

Just like that old Huey Lewis & the News song, were gonna go back in time, back to March 8 when I caught a band with the most embarrassing band name to say aloud - Pkew Pkew Pkew (Gunshots) - opening for The Pack A.D. at The Horseshoe.
Their bio rightly states, "They've created their own genre of beer-soaked pop punk, singing dude songs about dude things that are ramped up with full-band gang vocals. Beneath this rash exterior is a high-paced frenzy of guitars, pop hooks, and catchy-as-all-heck lyrics guaranteed to have you laughing and/or drunkenly singing right along."
These Toronto guys rock hard, and had the crowd in a frenzy. There was even some crowd surfing. Yup. At the 'Shoe. Fun!
The songs and the high energy show, combined with songs that even if you don't know them, you're singing along by the end of them, make for a really good time. Go see these guys!
Their full length album Glory Days is out now and available through their Bandcamp.

Here are some tunes:
"Stop Calling Us Chief"

"Asshole Pandemic"

"Before We Go Out Drinking"
