Toronto-based Fxrrvst opened things up at Hard Luck Bar on June 10, opening things up for An Horse and Camp Cope. Their name is presumably the latest in the battle between having a unique band name that's simple and easy to remember, while overcoming search engine challenges with common words, like maybe "churches" or "always". They were kind enough to let us know that their name is pronounced "forest".
I enjoyed the band's cool guitar licks and hooks. The band gracefully overcame the lead singer's illness by having their back-up singer step to the front. Overall, it was a fun set.
