Bleeker Ridge at The Ex

I caught Bleeker Ridge opening for April Wine at The Bandstand at The Ex. I'm not sure if it was because it was the last night of their tour, or because they were playing for a big crowd waiting for April Wine, or if they're always balls of energy, but they put on a great show.
Bleeder Ridge are a good old classic blues rockin' band. The band consists of two sets of brothers and the bassist. Their sound is huge crunchy guitars, pounding drums and bass, melodic vocals and harmonized choruses. On the surface there's nothing new here but they make it sound fresh and bring a fun presence to the show. There's too much groove here to call them metal. It's more like 70s hard rock influence. Cool.
