Lawrence Taylor at The Mod Club - Concert Pictures

Lawrence Taylor is a singer/songwriter from London, UK. He and his band were in Toronto last night performing at The Mod Club opening for Zella Day. This show marked the band's first visit to Toronto, although with their excellent performance and instantly likeable tunes, it was certainly the first of many.

The band play cool, easy going, well-written pop tunes highlighted by Taylor's strong voice and smooth guitar playing. The band sounded great, delivering solid musical accompaniment, lots of dynamic builds and nice harmonies. The groove sped up for "Bad News" and the set was highlighted by tunes like "Robyn" from the EP they released last year. "Bang Bang" got a good cheer from the crowd and their last song "Waiting For Your Love" was a strong closing tune.
