This song has been coming up on a Spotify playlist and I'm really enjoying it. Nothing too deep here, just a great song that's got an instant familiarity. It's got an amazingly 80s vibe to the vocal delivery, the arrangement and the song structure. Timeless and reminiscent of an earlier time.
If you're not already familiar with it - and it's not exactly brand spanking new - give it a listen. It's called "When You Were Mine" from Night Terrors of 1927 album Everything's Coming Up Roses (hey! I wrote a song by that name!) and it features the vocal stylings of Canada's two and only Tegan & Sara.
