Ruth Ruth - Laughing Gallery is 20

At some point in October, 20 years ago, Ruth Ruth put out a very cool power pop / pop punk album called Laughing Gallery. Sometimes I think I'm the only one who's heard of this band. I don't think I've ever met anyone who has heard of this band.

Suffice it say, that based on the fact that I'm dedicating a post to this album, I think it's pretty great. The songs are tight, powerful, hooky works of pop punk / power pop art, all gritty chords, quick riffs, powerful yet groovy beats and cool melodies.

Apparently they put out an album called Live In Toronto back in 2009. I'm gonna have to search around and see if I can find that one.

Give this band a listen.

"Uninvited"

"Don't Shut Me Out"

And here's the full album. Some of my favourites are "Uptight", "All Readydown", "Mission Idiot" and "Neurotica" but the whole thing is really solid.
