Chvrches announce new album Every Open Eye, new song Leave A Trace

Chvrches' 2013 début The Bones of What You Believe was one of my favourite albums of that year and songs like "The Mother We Share", "Gun", "Lies", "Recover", and "We Sink" are some of my favourite tunes. The album appeared on my Favourite 20 Albums list and "The Mother We Share" came in at number three on my Favourite 50 Songs list, with "Gun" and "Lies" appearing on the list as well. I even got to see them live at a "not too soggy" Field Trip 2014.

Now they've announced the release of their long-anticipated second album. It will be called Every Open Eye, it was produced by the band themselves, and it comes out September 25. We get to hear the first single, "Leave A Trace" now. It's Chvrches through and through with a groovy beat, cool keyboard hooks and Lauren Mayberry's unmistakeable voice and delivery. To say that I'm looking forward to this album and seeing this band live again would be an understatement.
