This marked my seventh SATE experience in less than a year and is the first show I've seen since the release of their Red Black & Blue album. Click here for all my other posts and all the photos that accompany them.
SATE's band consists of SATE herself on lead vocals, guitarist Kirt Godwin, bassist Alex St. Kitts, keyboardist Wade O. Brown and drummer Tony Rabalao. They bring it all together with insane energy, incredible musicianship and most of all, groove. The band played a solid and high-energy set, as always. The crowd was highly enthusiastic and formed a cycle of energy from band to crowd and back again. We got a special treat in the form of guest guitarist Ricky Tillo who played guitar on a number of Red Black & Blue tracks.
The set included "Feel", "What Did I Do?", "Know My Name", "Try", "Live On Your Love", "Warrior", "Silence" and probably more that I was too busy photographing and enjoying to jot down.
Check out some music and get out to see SATE the next time you have the chance:
